Common questions

What happens if a charge isn't registered within 30 days?

Late filing is possible with additional fees up to 300 days; beyond that, condonation from the Regional Director is required.

Do I need to file anything once the loan is repaid?

Yes, Form CHG-4 should be filed to record satisfaction of the charge, or it remains showing as an open charge on your company's record.

Does this apply to LLPs too?

Charge registration requirements primarily apply to companies; LLP charge filing follows separate provisions, which we can advise on if relevant.
